COVID-19 Testing

There will not be mandatory surveillance testing for the general student body during summer 2021. Specific student groups may be required to test, and details will be communicated to those groups.  

The College will offer COVID-19 testing for anyone in the campus community who would like to be tested. The tests will be offered by the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC), and  by the University of South Carolina (USC). USC testing will be a saliva-based test.

Free Saliva Testing Kits

Free Saliva Testing Kits are now available in all county health departments. Those interested may go to their local health department to receive a kit to take home. The kit provides instructions on collecting the saliva and includes an envelope to mail to the lab. Results generally will be returned within 48-72 hours after being mailed but may vary depending on mail time or volume of tests the lab receives.
