Outstanding Staff Member of the Year

This award was developed to recognize staff members (permanent or temporary full-time employees with at least two years of services for their outstanding services to the College and who supports the mission, vision core values and strategic priorities of the College. 

The Staff Award is based on the following criteria:

  • Excelled in the performance of their duties.
  • Displays dedication.
  • Provides excellence service to students, their colleagues and other members of the College community.
  • Committed to increasing awareness and respect for different persons. Takes steps to enhance diversity and inclusion on campus by creating and sustaining a welcoming and accessible campus environment for faculty, staff, students, and community members.

The Unsung Champion 

This award recognizes an individual for the hard work done behind the scenes. The Unsung Champion is considered a dedicated worker whose selfless acts of initiative and commitment often go unnoticed.

The Unsung Champion Award is based on the following criteria:

  • They are their office’s/department's/division’s and College’s quiet advocate that continuously works to ensure the success of the organization without visible recognition.
  • Consistently works to improve their department or division; Tasks and duties are completed with a high level of quality
  • Extended their self to help others with a high degree of excellence, professionalism, and integrity in their work, which contributed significantly to improve the overall environment and experience of faculty, staff, students and/or community members.
  • Committed to increasing awareness and respect for different persons. Takes steps to enhance diversity and inclusion on campus by creating and sustaining a welcoming and accessible campus environment for faculty, staff, students, and community members.

Excellence in Customer Service Award

This award recognizes a staff member who has demonstrated a significant increase in the efficiency of an operation or unit which improved customer service for faculty, staff, students, and/or community members.

The Excellence in Customer Service Award is based on the following criteria:

  • Demonstrates patience when dealing with faculty, staff, students or community members who are stumped, angry or frustrated. Ability to keeping their cool under pressure.
  • Great communication skills.  Ability to listen and understand the problems and needs of faculty, staff, students, or community members.
  • Ability to work well with anyone, and helping others to feel comfortable, important and appreciated.
  • Committed to increasing awareness and respect for different persons. Takes steps to enhance diversity and inclusion on campus by creating and sustaining a welcoming and accessible campus environment for faculty, staff, students, and community members.
