RULES FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE UNDERGRADUATE COMMENCEMENT CEREMONIES
FALL COMMENCEMENT (December)
To be eligible to walk in the Fall ceremony you must:
- Have applied to graduate* and been preliminarily cleared for the fall 2016 term OR
- Have graduated in summer 2016 and not participated in a prior ceremony
You do not have to inform our office that you want to walk in the Fall ceremony. If you are eligible your name will be included on the list to receive tickets. Information about the Fall ceremony will be available on the Commencement website which is updated each semester near the beginning of the term.

SPRING COMMENCEMENT (May)
Students who graduate successfully in the summer or fall 2016 term, who did not participate in a prior ceremony, will be eligible to participate in the Spring 2017 ceremony. You do not have to inform our office; it’s automatic!
All students who have applied for Spring OR Summer 2017 graduation will be eligible to participate in the Spring 2017 Commencement Ceremonies. Graduates do not need to inform us they plan to participate—inclusion on the list is automatic as long as you apply to graduate*. Information about the ceremonies will be available on the Commencement website which is updated each semester. Petitions to participate are no longer required, simply apply to graduate in the term you intend to complete degree requirements.
You do not need to inform us of your choice of ceremony; if you are eligible according to the rules above; you will be on the list to receive tickets.

***Please be advised, participation in a commencement ceremony does not equal graduation. Students must meet all graduation requirements before a degree is conferred and the diploma awarded. ***
