This program provides advanced coursework in British literature, American literature, English language and composition and rhetoric. The program is designed to attract recent college graduates, as well as English teachers or others interested in pursuing graduate studies in English. In addition to learning how to analyze literature and culture more effectively, students will acquire critical thinking habits, problem- solving strategies and communication skills that will serve them well in the field of education and a broad range of other careers.
The Citadel Graduate College and the Graduate School of the College of Charleston offer the advantage of being located in Charleston, S.C., a living museum of history and the arts with an ongoing literary culture that is both historically significant and currently blossoming with diversity and growth.
