Information Systems Graduate Certificate

(12 Credit Hours)

The information management workforce throughout the U.S. – and especially in the Carolina Lowcountry – is in need of competent, qualified professionals. Major employers, including the defense and business industries, are increasingly interested in hiring employees with specialized backgrounds in information systems.

That’s why the Department of Computer Science offers this certificate, which can be completed in a single semester. And it’s also why our faculty members stay current in and contribute to the field of information systems. Consequently, they incorporate state-of-the-art advances from this field into their classrooms and curricula.

Successful students will:

  • be capable of developing client-server network applications.
  • be capable of analyzing cryptographic techniques.
  • demonstrate the ability to effectively research information systems’ problems and propose solutions.
  • be prepared to work in information management without having to invest in a traditional master’s degree program.
